"So, why write this blog?" You ask, my alter ego asks...
For immortality.
Yes, I guess for immortality.
The state of being present forever.
The internet is like a mathematical unit. It is infinite, it has variables and it is a constant. What I write today may be deleted tomorrow but not really gone just spinning away in cyberspace.
All this hulabaloo about writing my own blog came from an interesting and inspiring Japanese Drama and in my opinion the best I've watched. It made me cry, made me laugh, made me think of me,made me wish for things, people and a whole lot more. But this is not about the drama but the reality behind the drama. The person behind the reality. "One Liter of Tears" is a story adapted from the life of Aya Kaitou. She died at 25 of Spino-cerebellar Degeneration disease 21 years ago. Before she passed, she wrote everyday of her life all the things she thought about in her diary. Her diaries have been published and has been widely read and celebrated. Aya-nee has passed but she is immortal now.
As I write now I hope that I can live forever just as Aya-nee. Her words have travelled across time and I thank her for her spirit. She has touched me and I would like to emulate her strength and courage. I will live on and I hope I can write more in the future and thank you.
